A lot of Trumpet… 4.5.2009

I spent spring break in New York working on an installation project.  Similar in concept to an earlier piece, A440, but should be very different and hopefully a tiny bit more interesting.  Thanks to Dustin and Shrage for helping out with the shooting… about 100 shots in two days.
The video below is not part of [...]

Audio Etude 2 3.12.2009

had a mix assignment due today… i used those things (above)… it’s a pop song… you might disagree… busy… slept for 3 hours… smell interesting… listen… headphones… holes.

Exit 2.24.2009

I haven’t been doing a [...]

In Tall Buildings 2.11.2009

finally…
One of my friends just released his debut solo album and it’s dirty good. Erik is a drummer, guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist, bassist, computerist and a huge jackass for not dropping this on us earlier.  Erik plays guitar for NOMO and has also worked with a ton of other great mid-west artists in the past few [...]

John Cage: Water Walk 1.29.2009

For a while I had a tough time embracing John Cage.  He is studied extensively in music composition courses, and his work is influential in literature, visual arts, and modern art theory so I feel like I know the guy personally (he died in 1992).  Last semester was no exception… I took four courses and [...]
